About Cranbourne North

Cranbourne North is a Melbourne suburb located 39 kilometres south-east of the city's central business area. The City of Casey is its local government area.

Cranbourne North has a population of 24,683 people according to the 2021 census. Within the suburb's limits lies the Merinda Park railway station. Neighbouring suburbs include Cranbourne, Narre Warren South and Lyndhurst.

Although a small suburb, you can still play a round of golf at the Cranbourne Golf Club. The South Gippsland Highway runs through the eastern side. If you want to go shopping then just over the northern border is Casey Central which is home to over 90 shops. There are a number of parks and playgrounds including the Hilltop Nature Reserve.

Offering excellent education options for young families, Cranbourne North has a number of schools in the area including Lyndhurst Secondary College, Alkira Secondary, St Frances Xavier College, Hillcrest Christian College and St Catherine’s Primary School. It is also a short commute to St Margarets School, Casey Grammar & Berwick College.

The Cranbourne Homemaker Centre is just outside the suburb boundary featuring Bunnings Warehouse, Harvey Norman, Officeworks, The Good Guys, JB Hi-Fi, Beacon Lighting, Autobarn, Red Rooster, Hungry Jacks, Spotlight, EB Games and more. Access to Clyde Road takes you straight down to the entrance to the Monash Freeway with Westfield Fountain Gate only 10-15 minutes drive away.
