Maryborough is a town in Victoria, located 58 kms north of Ballarat, 168 kilometres north-west of Melbourne, in the Shire of Central Goldfields. At the 2016 census, Maryborough had a population of 7,921

Located on the northern slopes of the Great Dividing Range, surrounded by bushland, Maryborough has roots which date back to the Gold Rush days of the mid-1800s when gold mining was the predominant industry in the region.
