Spring momentum is building

If the results that our team at Barry Plant Thomastown have been achieving over the past month or so are anything to go by, the property market in the northern corridor of Melbourne is currently in the middle of a Spring market that they’ll still be talking about in 2026.

If you follow OUR WEEKLY POSTS on a regular basis, you’ll already be aware that we have seen as many as eight separate buyers competing at our auctions this Spring, producing some exceptional results for our vendors. This weekend’s auction was another example of what is possible with the right campaign and approach.

Our well-attended auction at 29 Tilbury Street in Thomastown this week saw a neat three-bedroom home on a convenient corner block go under the hammer. Competitive bidding saw the gavel fall at a very satisfying $815,000, which saw smiles on the faces of the vendors and our happy purchaser (pictured).

Of course, it’s not just our auctions that are attracting competitive buyer interest at the moment. A prime example involved the sale of a low-maintenance single-bedroom home in Pine Street, Reservoir. It only required two Open Houses to produce over 30 buyer inspections and five separate written offers on this compact home, with the vendor happy to accept the best offer of $525,000 which was comfortably above their initial asking price.

Results like these, and the many other sales that we’ve seen taking place in our area recently, should be sending a clear message to local home owners who may be holding back on selling until they get a clear picture of what the market is doing…and that message is don’t hold back a moment longer!

As I’ve mentioned in several recent posts, the biggest concern for anyone wanting to sell at the moment is not the market, it’s getting going before you start to run out of time!

So if you’re interested in getting an obligation-free update on what your property could achieve in the current market, just give the team at Barry Plant Thomastown a call this week on 9466 3233.

Best wishes,

Con Constantinou
